I have tried to get cbms installed but keeping getting mysql errors. I know the database is setup correctly. Username, password, database name, permissions are all correct. I've setup dozens of mysql databases.

I've emailed the provided email address to voxel, and was told they don't provide hand holding for free scripts and I should wait 'till I can pay for their new solution which is 'fully supported'.

Well, I would like to see this free version work and I've tried it on two different platforms.

If someone wouldn't mind, you can see the errors at:

http://www.mcinet.net/billing/usermgmt.php

and if you have any suggestions it would be appreciated.

I think the login (MySQl) used for the program doesn't have enough rights.

Just for testing try admin for login and I think it will work...

use phpmyadmin and import the mysql.dump file into your db.

i setup user cbms and that user has ALL available rights that a mysql user can have.

i'll try user admin though and see what happens.

and i did load database with mysql.dump using command line and mysql directly.

thanks for the relplies.

Robin,

I think your wording may be a little unfair on this. We've provided you with a lot of help. We just can't give you the level of detail that you apparently require, for free.

I used CBMS before Switching to Ubersmith - it was pretty easy to set up - maybe if you post your Mysql errors we may be able to help you more ;)
