Joana, i was told cpanel was @ $20 only when ordering these new servers...

phactor, just as Gary said above, they dont allow irc, brings too much trouble with it

Another good deal from eservers this week!

How much is it to upgrade the RAM to 1GB?

BurtonHost

i know it's $150 for a 512mb ram dimm, so i'm guessing that extra as it comes with 512

Darth and BurtonHosting were correct, but just to clarify...

>is irc allowed? Eggdrops, Bouncers, IRcds?
Sorry No...

>Does existing customers get that rate for Cpanel @ $20 month ?
This is only valid for this offer alone.

>How much is it to upgrade the RAM to 1GB?
I believe I replied to your email, but here it's again the extra charge is $150 one-time.

Have a great weekend and don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any more questions.

Nope, it wasn't me, but thanks for the answer. :)

We have an unlimited supply of the above servers (please allow 3 working days for new orders), we have 4-5 available right now.

1) Will this be something that will always be available? The one thing that stopped me from ordering from you in the past is that you have these specials and if I really need a server, one might not be available.

2) If I request the 1.2 (which I am sure everyone is doing - why wouldn't they?) and I receive a 933, can it be upgraded later? If so, is there a fee?

3) What is the maximum amount of RAM that can be added? How much is it for over 1GB?

4) Is this month to month or is there a contract?

5) I would be using this server for hosting purposes. In the event one of my clients is caught spamming or has an IRC (that is against my policy but let's say for example a client had an insecure script that was used to send spam) would you notify me so I can promptly take care of it or do you shut down the server? What is the exact policy concerning issues like this?

6) How much are extra IPs?

7) How much is extra bandwidth?

Thanks

I would suggest ordering quicker. this way you will be one of the ones that gets one :)

2) If I request the 1.2 (which I am sure everyone is doing - why wouldn't they?) and I receive a 933, can it be upgraded later? If so, is there a fee? No one else is requesting this - we can not guarantee what you get in the speed - especially at such a minisclue difference of .2 ghz. They are all very good servers in this range.

3) What is the maximum amount of RAM that can be added? How much is it for over 1GB? I think these will go to 2 gb.

4) Is this month to month or is there a contract? MtM

5) I would be using this server for hosting purposes. In the event one of my clients is caught spamming or has an IRC (that is against my policy but let's say for example a client had an insecure script that was used to send spam) would you notify me so I can promptly take care of it or do you shut down the server? YES What is the exact policy concerning issues like this? We notify you and if you take care of it within 24 hours - great - if it is some big emergency - we may shut it down quicker - if you dont clean it up - we will give final warning and then can shut it down at any time at ourdiscretion after that if it does not get fixed asap.

6) How much are extra IPs?
1.00 per ip per month over 8 - this discourages people from saying - give me 500 ips for my server - which has happened.
7) How much is extra bandwidth? 1.00 per gig.

Thanks

you won't go wrong with DV2. excellent network and customer service is good, especially when you order through eServers!! :)

umm that .2 gig difference is significant, its the difference between two quite different breeds of p3 chip and a reasonable performance difference (30% faster or more is not insignificant), im not having a go at you offering pot luck, hell we all know your competitors have in the past, but i would suggest you check your facts before trying to suggest a p3 933 is nearly as good as a 1200 tualatin.

Richy,

Yeah ok, you could have PM'd me that, no need to take the post off-topic, or is this becoming a WHT speciality?

my apologies, the comment was as a perspective client, and since sailor posted in the thread i didnt think it a problem to post my comment in the same thread. i should have added that for the server spec its a great offer at a great price, just keeping your supplier straight on facts (i dont think anyone would blame him for not noticing a change in the p3 line when the world tends to look at p4's most of the time and keeping up with core revisions of that is a full time job and thats before you mention amd).

just outta interest, are their any plans for a global crossings or sprint link at any point? they have for me anyway, always given good european performance, but that could be down to peering my end.

Just wondering, but how long will this offer be going on for? Will the server offer continue, whereas the $20/month Cpanel license will end (when)?

Thanks,
Alan

We have AboveNet going live as soon as they get there heads together, GC or Sprint could be an option for us in the future, if there is such a decision made, you'd be the first to know it.

If there are any more questions you can either direct them to my @ imran@eservers.biz or bring the subject up in here.

Imran

p.s. No need to apologise, I have seen many a thread go off-topic and then go wayyyy off-topic, just want to keep it in order, as the mods seem to be sleeping these days, haven't seen chicken around for a long time :)

Alan, to be honest, we are keeping this offer open for aslong as we can, we do not have any sudden plans to close this offer for the Dual P3.

Where as for cPanel, this is limited, but still no fixed time frame, if you email me we can keep you updated.

no biggie - I dont mind - those were all valid comments - however - we deliver what we have on hand - and do not get into which speed it is - if we did -everyone would simply say - IU want the dual but it has to be the 1.2 only. So - I dont even know if we have any 1.2's we dont track it or advertise it - becasue it will cause problems. and at this price - we are not going to guarantee except in that range - this is an awesome deal.
