I just signed up for a new webhosting account, and I wanted to test the new sites loading speed with the old sites loading speed. Could some of you try visiting the two pages manually and see which one loads faster, and also try sending a ping to each one to see what the results are.

Both pages are exactly identical. The old page (hosted by Amhosting) is at:

http://www.indiadivine.com/ind-y.htm

The new page (hosted by Weinbar) is at:

http://208.38.138.137/

AMhosting has always been very fast for me and good, except their bandwith is too small.

Since I am still testing the Weinbar site, I haven't pointed the website name there yet.

Also, does the loading speed differ between an IP address and a name address? I have noticed that a www.name.com pings a lot faster than just name.com, so does the IP address also have a faster response rate?

For the PING test, please try:

www.indiadivine.com

and

208.38.138.137

Thanks a lot for any help.

Oh yeah, my test results had AMhosting a little faster than Weinbar. But I am located on the otherside of the world, where the internet connections are very lousy, so I don't know how accurate it is.

I got an average night time ping for AMhosting (www.indiadivine.com) of 450ms. Weinbar (208.38.138.137) got a 650+ ms response time. My day time pings mostly timed out, especially to Weinbar (90%+) :)

The ping times for your old host were:

--- www.indiadivine.com ping statistics ---
35 packets transmitted, 34 packets received, 2% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 107.7/157.9/271.3 ms

and for the new host:

--- 208.38.138.137 ping statistics ---
35 packets transmitted, 35 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 111.0/113.4/117.8 ms

As you can see, weinbar performed a bit better. :)
