Im looking for alittle bit of advise more then anything from a domain guru..

Basically - our registrar due to a technical difficultly let one of our domains expire and it then went into the "redemptionperiod".

We finally got them to get the domain out of this status and into the "pendingrestore" status. However, this is where my trouble begins as im not sure on what the proceedure is for this?

Reading on the icann site and on various sites from google, it seems that this period lasts 7 days, and if nothing is done by the registrar during these 7 days that it will again fall into the state of redemption.

My questions:

My registrar have said they have completed all the forums required by verisign and sent them in - already however the 7 day period is almost up and the status is still PENDINGRESTORE. Does the domain just stay in this period until the 7days are up, and if verisign are satisfied it is then set back to active status?

Or

AS soon as all the documents are recieved at verisign is the domain set back to active status?


If it all 'hits the fan' so to speak and the domain again falls into redemption, are we able to claim it back again?

Any help, advise, information on this subject would be gladly accepted as this is a very very new feature and from I gather, not many people, including verisign have very little idea as to what on earth happens..
