Hi guys.
I'm new to this forum. So excuse me if i do something wrong.
I've tried to post on another forum but folks there keep silence :(
This forum looks much better :agree:
I'm reseller with several active customers. Now I'm going to start my own business.
So I'm looking for the software. Actually I'm going to provide VPS service.
Does anybody use virtuozzo?
I've read a lot about it but it's all theory.
How is it in real hosting?
Any feedback is appreciated.

It's great. It's that simple. A definite winner. I use it and love it.

Guess I should elaborate...

At this point, I'm mostly using it for my own applications and services though I do have a few people who are running their applications in it as well. For typical run of the mill web hosting it is probably overkill, but it does add a layer of protection over shared hosting that is very very nice.

Here's a small breakdown of what is currently running in virtuozzo VEs that I know work pretty well:

- Data mining tools
- Name servers
- Service monitoring and trouble identification tools (Resin JSP)
- Darwin streaming server
- Internet spiders

It's pretty fun to see so much activity and not too many troubles. Most of the troubles are related to tuning the VE's and getting memory settings right which is not a simple feat.
