What if my vps / reseller provider shutdown its business, how should I prepare ?
How can I back up?
Should I get 2 vps one for back up?
How can I acheive it with lower cost, but effective :)
Always make backups, nightly if you can.
Download them to your HDD, i wouldnt worry about using a VPS until you have more then money to spend on one.

Hi Whfm.. Thanks for the info..
How can I download the back up to my hard disk?
In cpanel or WHM, when you make the back-up it'll be called XXXX.tar.gz.
Quite simple, jusrt click it and it will download.
When you are hosting many sites, it'll be worth investing in a vps for remote back ups
You can prepare by signing up with a reliable host that isn't going to vanish tomorrow morning. That's the best form of preparation. ;)

you may use any FTP backup service if you installed cPanel on VPS, or you can use Rsync backup service

You should host with a reliable provider and you can probably create backups with your control panel. If not, then you can use rsync to write those backups to an external server.

Hosting with reliable provider is good idea and nightly backup will help you to be ready for the emergency (and those can happen with reliable providers too)
