I have been looking for a hosting company for a while. After 2 months of research, I have narrowed down to 4 companies. I'll share my findings with you about these companies and I'll appreciate any comments positive, negative or any experiences you'd like to share? Thanks for your help!


*****.com (Likes: good UNIX/NT combo, tech support to my customers. Dislikes: Resold account disk space is shared)
hostopia.com (Likes: excellent pricing, unique UNIX/NT mix. Dislikes: no tech support to my customers)
hostway.com (Likes: good UNIX/NT mix, fair pricing. Dislikes: no tech support to my customers)
rapidsite.com (Likes: Excellent backbone (Verio), good UNIX/NT mix. Dislikes: expensive, no tech support to my customers)

No comment on those choices.

moz, you'll find that most people who congregate here detest ***** like few other companies. I don't know if any of them have used the reseller pack from *****, however - we never have, I can tell you that. I do know that the commentary about support to their own shared hosting clients has been a lot less than favorable both here and elsewhere, so you might keep that in mind - if they can't support their own clients in a good way, what are the odds they'll treat yours any better?

Other than that, there is not a lot of commentary out there on the companies you have listed, as far as their reseller programs go. I did find some Deja/Google posts from some reseller of rapidsite's that was spamming, but other than that, nothing in the groups.

Good luck to you. It's difficult to find a reseller program where the upstream provides the support to the resold client as well.

If you're looking for the absolutely worst customer service, 20% server downtime, credit card billing 2 months after you've cancelled and 40-minutes tech support waiting time on the phone, make sure to go with ***** :D

Im not real familiar iwth the 4 hosts you have listed, but I do know that I can guerentee if you go with ***** you will have the worst experience of your life.

I believe ive heard some good things about hostopia, I know I havent heard anything bad about them, yet :)
