yeah. i was retarded enough to sign up with featureprice last may, i always thought they were nice, helpful whatever. it was also my first time to look for hosts, and i didn't know what the hell i was doing.

anyway, i've been pretty patient with them, my site goes down every now and then, so i figured it was normal or whatever, there was one time i was gonna complain because of there 99% uptime gurantee thing, then i got a reply that their gurrantee didn't cover "acts of God". well, at that point i was like "okay", what would i know?

i haven't called them or anything, cuz i don't live in the US, but in thailand, and their stupid new helpdesk is basically pointless, i waited five days from their helpdesk to tell me to mail to billing@fp.com and when i did, my mail got bounced back cuz they "didn't like" my mail. o.O

as you can probably tell, i'm not tech savvy in anyway at all. and recently i found out about this site, and i was amazed to find all the horror stories.

and now i'm sorta stuck in a rut, i paid up till this coming may, i got the platinum package and i am hosting six domains, but they're all pretty much personal sites of friends and family, nothing too fancy.

i'm currently in the process of looking for a new host right now, so i can transfer all my stuff before i cancel with fp. which obviously looks like a whole other adventure i've got to make through.

i dunno. those of you guys that have moved from fp, what did you guys end up doing? in regards to cancelling and everything. any advice would be realllly appreciated. thanks :)

thanks :)

I've actually lost some customers because they chose FeaturePrice over us. But in the end, I guess they lose.

I am currently on FeaturePrice and am pretty ticked right now! My sites have been down for about 2 days, and can get no response out of them either. I am also paid up for a year through November. Never again!

If it does come back up soon and I have no other problems, I may try to avoid the loss and stay through Nov, but not a minute longer.

A couple dollars saved is not worth the time and aggravation (my time is worth a LOT more than that!).

Good luck to you. Let me know if you want to go in on a class action suit. :-)

Yep - its great how they at first made customers sign up for year at a time service, then now when months are still left the service is horrible..

fp.com looks like a robotics company?

I don't really think they will be around this coming November. Frankly I am surprised that they made through this past November. If you go class action, make sure that you process it in US and in Austria (the real owner and the cash may be there - offshore). I bet the only real assets in the US are those famous servers. I'm really surprised to see no liens or judgements on this company in the State of Florida.
