Hi, I have this domain name www.filmandcamera.com registered with me and I was wondering what it might be worth. I recently got an offer for $400 for it.

The main issue in my mind is whether I should keep it as a showcase for some artistic endeavours (which I'm contemplating) or to grab a good offer while it's there.

What do you think?

To me it'd be worth about $8. If someone has an idea for it and they plan on developing it, then it'll probably be worth a lot more to them..

If i were you, I'd take the offer - but I'm not so the choice is yours ;)

If by "contenplating" you really mean procrastinating, ;) allbeit conciously or subconciously, I would send the individual thats interested in the name a sincerely grateful email, along with a paypal bill or a link to your payment processor of choice.

I too, dont see more than a value of registration cost... IMHO

take the $400 its not a special domain and there are a lot of cheaper alternatives for that market (with less chars too)

I would say that filmandcamera.com is a decent name for photography-related websites. Although a bit archaic, the name projects an image of seriousness and reliability, and therefore excellent for professional organizations or on-line journals.

Not intended to flame, but I honestly think that this domain is worth much more than $8. Of course, during this market low, a $400 offer for a 3-word name is not bad at all. And as others have mentioned, there are cheaper alternatives out there.

To me it'd be worth about $8

I dont see any use for it, hence I wouldn't pay more. IMO, you really can't value a domain accurately unless you have a use for it.
