Hi,
We moved to a cobalt raq 4i dedicated server. We uploaded a file manager with ftp and we tried to upload cgi files using it and to deal with all the files on the server including the virtual sites files.
We faced a permissions problem since the fileman was uploaded by ftp and some other cgi files were uploaded by webfolder. The ftp uploaded files have its owner as the ftp account owner where any file uploaded with webfolder has nobody owner. We tried to deal with this fileman to change permissions, upload files but it did not work but it had only a function of viewing. It seems also that we have a cgi scripting problem on the server. Someone advised us that the problem stemed from using cgi-wrap so we changed addhandler in httpd.conf from cgi-wrapper to cgi-script, but nothing changed.
We are thinking to use again wemin since it has the cabability of a file manager and telnet connection. We think that we can use it without changing the configuration of apache and DNS so it may not conflict with cobalt control panel. Is that possible? We tried before to deal with Webmin but it made trouble with control panel and the server configuration. Can keep use it along with the normal functionality of the cobalt control panel?
Thanks in advance.

The CP won't work good after you installed webmin. If you install webmin, you'd better not use the CP, it messes a lot things up.

BTW if you installed webmin why should you need the CP anymore?
