I have a yahoo email account, which I use for spam purposes. I hit the “This Is Spam” button to report spam but I wonder what Yahoo really does with that information. They must get thousands upon thousands per day reported. I’m just wondering if they actually do something with that or if it’s more of a placebo effect for the user? .Just curious what you all think about the “This is Spam” function on yahoo.

NOTHING HAPPENS!
I have a friend who bought a webhosting plan with them including a domain name, now they wanted to move their domain name, Yahoo! does not gives you access to the domain name's panel........... Guess what? it's been month and half and they haven't reply about the domain name service........ now think about it yourself, how long will it take them to take care something from a free service.

When you report a spam message to yahoo, it's advanced software scanns the message you sent for the word spam. If the program finds it, your email to them is deleted.
Crazy tastee!

Kinda makes you laugh when you hear the 'You've got mail' thing on their commercials, like it is something special. :D

I'll volunteer to do the voiceover for the new message - "You've got spam".
