View Full Version : Should I use eNom?

I want to immediately register and park about a dozen domain names. Over the next couple of months, I'll be finding web hosting services and developing web sites for these domain names. Some of the domain names will be used to for redirection to a main site. In general, I'd like to be able to change hosts quickly and easily. For some of the domain names, I'd also like email forwarding with unlimited aliasing. In the future I may be registering additional domain names, but it's likely to be in the dozens rather than hundreds.

Is eNom a good choice for me? If so, should I go ahead and sign up for a reseller account?

Yes, enom is a good choice. You can signup directly with enom, in this case you need to deposit $495 to get $8.95 / domain price, or you can signup through another enom reseller... for free.

yes enom is a good choice. I've been using them for over 2 years and do what you describe above using their services.

eNom is the best & highly recommended!

I wouldn't recommend a reseller account if you do not have any plans to resell. You'll get better deals if you sign up for a retail account (normally $8.50 - $8.60)

Do a search on enom ratail account in Related Offers and Requests forum. There are lots of people offering free accounts there!

Yes.. if you don't need the reseller tools.. then you can get lower pricing with a RETAIL eNom account. it's the same thing except "pay as you go", etc..

Never heard a bad word about Enom, they have all the features you need

I personally use namecheap.com and i'm happy with them - good control panel, ...

some enom resellers:
www.namecheap.com ($8.88)
www.powerpipe.com ($7.99)

other non enom usually recommended company is godaddy.com, but i'd somehow rather recommend enom :)

I think enom is the best out there.

You might want to try a good enom reseller like namecheap though as some of them accept payments via paypal if you want that functionality and a good low price.

All eNom resellers (without exception) are limited to the lowest price of $8.95 per domain and offer paypal as a method to "fill up" your account balance. This service is offered through eNom, not through the individual reseller.

The only thing the reseller is responsible for is screening for fraud, providing 1st line support, and creating the account.

Mrzippy, that's not correct. What you said only applies to "reseller accounts" provided by other enom resellers. On the retail side, many enom resellers use their own interface, their own merchant solutions, and set pricing lower than $8.95. Examples... NameCheap.com $8.88 and PowerPipe.com $7.99.

Yes, I know this (I'm an ETP with lower pricing myself.)

I was responding to a post from a person who was looking for info on a NEW reseller account.. and nobody can CREATE a new eNom reseller account lower then $8.95.
