Hello

I'm trying to learn about web hosting technology and
issues -- the things I need to know as a client or
advisor.

Rather than ask a series of probably-trivial questions,
I would like to find some tutorial material which would
give me a more solid background -- for example, enough
to understand what you are all talking about here.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Yay!!, another newbie. I'm not alone!! I was in the same boat a couple of weeks ago and then I found this board. You can learn A LOT from just reading stuff on this forum. Try it!!

You can browse through those threads which talk about hosts experiences, and some advices etc...

I think they are very very useful for you as well as all the questions you might want to ask, are already answered. :)

But the best way to learn, is to try yourselves, or at least talk to a real host in real-time, and share their experience.
