View Full Version : WARNING : stargate users must read ----
onekit 01-31-2003, 12:10 PM | As i have posted before, my domains at stargate.com have been hacked. the hacker changed DNS and one of my site is being redirected to a hacker page that says hacked by cmhacker.
the hackers website is www.cmhacker.com
I dont know what they did, but they can reset your login info in matter of minutes. One time, they forgot to change the admin email, so i was able to get the password using "forgot password function"
I just tried using "forget password" again to reset my password, but stargate server sent out email without password this time. I dont know whether stargate has done something or the hacker.
If anyone hav an account at startgate, could you please try "forget password" to see if you're receiving password? or just blank email ?
again, everyone who have an account there, you better do something cuzz it's not safe.
i asked stargate to change my DNS back but haven't heard from them. called them, but no answer. :( |
DJBBIZ 01-31-2003, 01:56 PM My Stargate server is gone also. Can't reach Stargate and can't get the ticket system to work, it keeps throwing errors. Tech support mail box is full. Can't reach anyone and had to leave a message on the general system. Stargate is looking like a very dangerous site, my problems never stop and this might be the final nail in their coffin if you read all the threads here. Too bad, I hate to see anyone fail ever. |
DJBBIZ 01-31-2003, 04:30 PM | Well I am back up, did not take them to long to deal with this. |
onekit 01-31-2003, 05:02 PM For those of you having account at stargate.com, contact stargate or do something before it's too late.

Jesse_613 01-31-2003, 07:01 PM stupid hackers. what sorta fun do they get from ****ing up peoples stuff? probably some 14 year old kid:rolleyes: |
allan 01-31-2003, 11:38 PM I know someone from Stargate posts here regularly, they should be contacted to see what is being done. |
Acroplex 02-01-2003, 01:22 AM That would be Tom / stargate.com
But you need to give us some more information: do you host your domain with Stargate as well? Was it in a single account, a reseller account or a bulk account?
It could be something else, like someone compromising your shell password, getting access to your email and getting the password for the domain from Stargate; THEN changing the DNS. |
onekit 02-01-2003, 04:09 AM I hope Rackshack will do something about it too because these hackers r using RS server. |
