anyone know of a reliable domain registrar that offers hosting with at least 5 MB, 1 GB transfer, FTP, less than or equal to 25$?

i'm considering doteasy.com now. anyone with a website there, so I can check out the speed?

i currently have a domain at directnic.com which is not expired. if i transfer it to doteasy, besides the new 25$/year fee, what else do I need to pay? any transfer fee?

We have a site at doteasy www.legalfox.com we just had a client turn it back over to us because they don't have the time to update it.
We will be moving it to our server and converting it to php sometime mid year but you can get an Idea of load speed.

Doteasy has no server side scripting so if you need a cgi bin or php etc... your out of luck.

You're better off transfering your domain to a lower cost registrar, such as an Enom reseller (NameCheap.com is a good one) for around $8 and change. Then find yourself a good cheap host. I recommend www.8-95.com ($8.95/6 months plan). they are the lower cost division of DixieSys.com. So, that would run you around $26-$27 per year that way.

You'll probably end up with http://www.eyename.com/

($7.75 per year for the domain, hosting from 5.85 per month)

First off, I would STRONGLY recommend separating your website hosting and domain registration. Even if anything goes wrong, you won't have to deal with the same guy twice. Trust me.

And for $25 a YEAR (i.e. $2 a month)? You probably don't have many options out there. Even GeoCities Plus asks for $4.95 per month. You'll have to resort to some really small guys, but don't expect too much.
