I think that is meant as a "thank you" from the client to the host.....in other words modern-ends.com is saying thank you TO...surrenderonline

Modern-ends is simply posting, because he/she is proud of their host, so be glad for them, all there is to it. ;) And if they took time to register, and their first post JUST to congratulate and thank their host because they are greatful, they must be very proud and appreciatative towards Surrender.... Glad you are happy there, modern. :)
I've also heard very good comments towards them, 3 thumbs up ^^^

Well, I do because it's the oldest trick in the book. There's just too much info on performance.
I have 10+ years of sales experience...and that's a pre-written sales pitch...obviously...but I guess you guys know better.

Seriosuly though, too many people are jumping to these conclusions without proof to back them up. Yes, it has happened before, and it'll probably happen again, but if you have no proof, just let it be.

They were very helpfull, good support and great up time. And they helped me with my 1st dedicated server (not with them) with there help we have grown and grown.
I belive the above statment to be true!

I think people should really RE-READ their own comments.
I agree with some that at times you will see fake posts, reviews on some companies, its really not fair to immediately expect the worst in a person.
I can honestly say the way some posters are treated here when they come in to make a "positive review" on their own host...is ridicolous.

You'd be suprised. 'The Customer' as a species has evolved a great deal in the past two years or so. :D While there are new people coming online all the time, there's a growing family of them that have gained quite a bit of knowledge. What used to be little more than e-mail questions has turned into database, scriping and development ones.
The sad part of it is, these people are generally 'educated' through the school of hard knocks after having to belt themselves against poor quality hosts for a year or two. By having to sort it out themselves with no help from their hosts, they pick up a thing or two.

madmouser 01-31-2003, 12:58 AM I've had a reseller account at surrender since September and have been very pleased with them. Excellent support by e-mail and IM. A tremedous improvement over what I was put through by my previous host.
They've been around WHT for some time and I don't see them using that sort of tactic to get business.

Maybe modern-ends also has 10+ years of sales experience and their writing reflects that. Burden of proof (since you made the first allegations) is on you not them to proove that post is fake. Sure I could be wrong and it's a fake but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now! :D

No matter what a person is selling online they should know about hosting. Sounds from their post that they've been burned before (line about lost sales). I'm not a host but I know enough to get by and understand the hosting process. It behooves a company that sells ceramics or whatever to learn about hosting if they're going to have a website if not they'll be selecting the host who offers "unlimited" BW!

1) Have been burned one or more times, thus are just plain cynical
2) Are attempting to make themselves look better or deflect attention away from themselves.

Many critical people around these boards, many are competitors, to be honest people that are critical are not bad people they just come here and hope on to the wagon of being critical and over analysing post because thats what they have been seeing for so long around these parts.
I to honestly have been critical of some posters in the past and for what ever reason i posted my opinion, I did not do it to hurt anyone or damage anyones reputation.. Being a long serving member of WHT you start to notice the fake from the real :)
Im going to continue with my battle with paysystems to open up our account if anyone has any problems let me know :D

I think I better clear a few things up. This is in no way a Spam from surrender I am just sharing my experience with you all and recommending something I wish was recommended to me as I had to go through many hosts to find a service like surrender offers.I felt Compelled to write praise for the company in the hope I could save others the time and money I wasted.Sorry to have caused any confusion or controversy here, this was not intention.:(
Also I know a little about hosting. I worked as a volunteer web designer at www.goldlinksweb.com also as a telecommunications techy at www.ncable.net.au building their network and head end. I have used many hosting companies from all over the world none giving me the level of satisfaction I have found from surrender.
With this knowledge I can recommend Surrender as a cheap, reliable, fast and friendly service.:)
