Is it possible to get H-Sphere running on a gentoo box?

Yes you can. You can have it installed on there. However, it will take a few little changes in the Gentoo by symbolic links to make it work.

Gentoo is a Linux distribution. I think it's the best :) Everything is compiled from source, no silly rpm's or anything, and it's packaging system is very similiar to FreeBSD's ports system.

Gentoo is fine when you install something. But upgrade is a nightmare.
Site looks nice, though.
I believe gentoo will become a #1 distro one day.

Upgrade is quite easy. "emerge -u <package>"

what's the problem?
