View Full Version : In need of a new hosting company...

my current webhost is perpetually down, so I am on a search for a new one. As I prefer to just pay for a year all at onec, I'd really hate to get stuck with another shoddy hosting company.

My needs:

~ 50MB disk space. Preferably more
At least 3 GB transfer / month

PHP
MySQL (I would be ok with another DB option, but all my scripts are currently written for MySQL)
2 hostable domains (with email access for both)
at least 1 sub domain
RELIABLE

RELIABLE

it would be nice, but not neccesary to have the following 2 things:

ASP enabled
cpanel

Any help you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated.

you would need to post this in Web Hosting Requests Forum to get offers as host aren't allowed to offer anything in this forum.

Ok, no problem. If a mod wants to move it, that's fine with me. however, I was really looking more for feedback from people who have sued a service. I mean, I can search the web and find another host that meets my requirements, and any host can offer me a package that meets my requirements.

However, I don't want to end up with another host that is down 24 out of every 48 hours, or that is unbearably slow.

I know that's a typo, but man that one is funny. :D

After you've gotten a few offers, come back to this forum and ask who we think is the best. That will help you out more.

Ok, so I've got it narrowed down to MTV hosting, Gator hosting, radicalvision, and yupapa.

You guys have any experience with any of these?

Also considering gigabean.

Like i said in the thread in the other forum, reliability and speed are key for me.

Thanks!

yupapa is the only one out of those that I can say anything about as far as reputation. Small, but personable hosting and here a lot.

RadicalVision cut and pastes their response to almost every hosting request offer in there. Makes you wonder about the kind of support you receive, but I've heard nothing about them hosting-wise. Either that means everything's fine or no one is buying into their impersonal hosting offers.

Know nothing of the other two.

If it were me, I'd go with yupapa.

EDIT: Just saw the second post about Gigabean you just added. I've heard decent things about them as well.
