Hi, I have spent the last 3-4 weeks interviewing and quoting various developers, to discuss the eventual programming of our own web based CP, However before i make the eventual several thousand dollar investment, I want to make sure that my customers and potential customers will appreciate our own control panel as opposed to something they allready known and trust (as our current provider cpanel) I notice about %50 of requests here at WHT are asking strictly for cpanel and im not sure whether it will be a problem offering a CP that may have power but is widely unknown. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

We dont have any problems getting customers and we dont use cpanel we use a customised ensim flavour.

Developing your own is fine in terms of attracting customers - but from the admin point of view it wont be as refined as an existing panel.

your better of sticking with a CP which has some experience and a team of developers behind it.
