So, for those of us under 21s who cannot attend the "networking events" aka "parties w/alcoholic beverages" aka "bar crawl"?

I figured... convenience store crawl. :lovewht:

Interesting. We could contact the local police and have them provide protection for a night of convience store crawls...

Sounds like a pokemon. heh

Oh we're going to have to introduce Orien to an aspect of HostingCon he's been missing out on...

You'll soon find out why the 2nd day of the convention is dead.

PS: Don't let anyone know your room number.

I've gone out in Boston numerous times and you make it sound to be a terrible place. Are parts of Boston bad, of course? Are parts of NYC bad, of course? Just don't put the bar crawl in the middle or Dorchester head down the Silver line towards the harbor some real nice places. You could also use the Redline to get to Faneuil Hall or Cambridge. Only problem is the T stops running around midnight so you have to have a place for an after party.

That would be similar to putting the bar crawl in mid-town Manhattan instead of Bronx. Just know where you're going.

@Zach I'm sure there aren't many of you under 21s that would attend HC in Boston.

Was just in Boston, 2 weeks ago and have been there many times before. I'm not sure which part of Boston you are talking about, but Boston is pretty safe at night.

I am actually serious. I went to the very first HostingCon, in Chicago back in 2005 - at that time, I was not even 21 :) I had to sit out of the FastServers party, etc.

Didn't Jacob have to stand outside on most of the 'Social' events this year? Unless you are over 21, you really don't experience HostingCon.

The presentations are nice, but what people really go for is to socialize, drink and have a good time.

I think iNET should setup a DJ table and let me just sit there and I can play some poppin' music. Sounds like serious fun.

Hopefully i'll make it to Boston.

Although they may not be 21 I doubt they are all blind. Most liquore stores put prices in the windows and $35 should be for about 60 PBRs

Not really sure if you have a clue...but Boston is pretty safe at night, and especially given where the convention is, it's no where near the "ghetto"...

Yes, I think this must be in United Kingdom after 21 years of age.
