JayC 05-14-2001, 12:33 AM Originally posted by xwebdesigner Anyone getting big se traffic? I'm not sure your topic really does say it all, because I don't know if you're asking that about webhosting sites only. Webhosting is a pretty tough category in which to get search engine traffic. Competition for ranking is pretty vicious. I've had pretty good search engine results with other types of sites, but haven't really tried to pull it off yet with a hosting site. But we have plans for a campaign starting in June... so we'll see. klisis 05-14-2001, 01:22 AM Well, my site is a hobby site and it is getting considerable amount of traffic for a hobby site. 35000 to 40000 hits daily. Yahoo and Google are the only search engine that gives actual traffic. Rest of search engine appear to generate only less than 1000 visitors per month. Setting up a banner exchange is a good idea. But if your site is about webhosting/design, it's gonna get very tough since it is related to $$. AH-Tina 05-14-2001, 09:31 AM Most of our traffic comes from Host Indexes...HostSearch.com mainly. Things that are worthless: search engines, banner ads. --Tina |
