Wow this is nice 2advanced (http://www.2advanced.com) Neo3Net 01-27-2003, 01:27 AM Very Very Nice. I didn't realize they did hosting though. 7out 01-27-2003, 01:31 AM That is a nice studio. I didn't know they did hosting either. I contacted them one time about a job and never received a response so I scratched them off my list. I got some autoresponder message like "thanks for inquiring about 2advanced services, you will be contacted by someone shortly". That was around 3 months ago. Oh well, I guess they didn't want my $$$$. (and yes I know what they charge) case 01-27-2003, 04:48 AM yeah , really nice looking place they got , i was unaware they did hosting either , but it makes sense Ryan32 01-27-2003, 05:09 AM i contacted them and offered 5000 dollars for a job, they turned me down saying they don't do jobs that small....... Now, 5 grand is a lot of money. I can't imagine there are THAT many sites out there that are paying 10-50 thousand for websites. So if they don't take the smaller 5 grand jobs, how can they afford facilities like that? 7out 01-27-2003, 05:17 AM They can afford it BECAUSE they don't accept small projects, not in spite of it. There is a market for high end sites if you can produce high end work. My lead programmer made a custom shopping cart for a company that had almost as much going on as Amazon.com in their site. She charged over $100,000 for that site, but unfortunately that was not while she was working for me. High end work can be billed out for $75/hour and up for design and html and $85-$100/hour for programming (or more). It doesn't take long to run up a $20,000 bill when billing out work at $100 per hour. This is not the WHT market, though, so you won't learn much about that here. NetXL 01-27-2003, 05:20 AM 7out beat me. :) Neo3Net 01-27-2003, 07:27 AM Yep, plus there are companies that aren't very savvy and usually will pay a company like ceonex or 2advanced to do their site rather then pay a freelancer who can do the same work. DJiMPaCT 01-27-2003, 11:39 AM Very nice place for sure, as for hosting I am 99% sure they don't do it, they are partnered with mediatemple.net. It also says this on their website. 7out 01-27-2003, 11:52 AM Originally posted by NetXL 7out beat me. :) Sorry NetXL, you can go first next time. I wonder if that's mediatemple's datacenter picture, or if mediatemple is actually a 2advanced company? Chachi 01-27-2003, 12:28 PM lol, these were posted a very long time ago... did you just stumble upon them? insaneraptor 01-27-2003, 12:55 PM dig threads up from the dead :) DJiMPaCT 01-27-2003, 12:59 PM I don't think mediatemple is a 2advanced company because mediatemple does design as well ( mediatemple.com ). Bannaz 01-27-2003, 01:14 PM Well the place looks very nice. :) Nice pool table! usafreedom 01-27-2003, 02:20 PM hehe yes, btw I deal with companys which pay well for huge jobs. A amount of $50,000-100,000 a year for updating and making a site like lets say amazon.com is nothing. Codes and design and more for a jub like that. You're joking, right? ub3r 01-27-2003, 08:41 PM Lol, all of us are just marveling around they're facilities. I'll bet if they saw pictures of the biggest data centers on here, they would laugh. But yes, All the kudos in the world goes to them. They're probably the biggest web design company on the planet. 7out 01-28-2003, 12:57 AM Originally posted by ub3r Lol, all of us are just marveling around they're facilities. Not all of us are marveling. They are nice, but they certainly are not the biggest and I guess it's debatable whether they are the best. Don't forget that there are many large marketing firms and ad agencies that offer web design. Many of which have much more capital and nicer facilites than 2advanced. When you get to the level of charging $50,000 and up for a site, the customers you attract are not impressed by a facility such as the one 2advanced is in, they expect it. When the CEO of Amazon.com calls you up and says he has a $5million marketing budget for online advertisement in 2003 and wants to see what you can do for him, you can believe that he will not be impressed by your logo on the glass and some fancy chairs.
