Hi folks,
Just like to say I really enjoyed HostingCon 2011.
I managed to speak with quite a few other web hosts in attendance and found it really interesting that most of us have the same "issues."
Was somewhat comical at times actually. Comments like "we just spend the last several months doing so and so testing..." were often met with "yea, we did that too..." Phrases like, "we are ramping up x now," etc., usually brought a smile to my face as well (yea, been there done that...).
Somewhat refreshing to find other kindred spirits in the mix. I mean, not many people can do this biz; 24/7, for years as a stretch. I'm into my 15th year in the hosting business, with maybe a few weeks total vacation time since 1996.
I personally find the constant need for change refreshing in a business that simply doesn't sleep. Was a pleasure and an honor to stand next to many of my bleary eyed compatriots- living the life.
