I was hoping for other opinions besides yours, doofy....someone who had actually used the host.

I guess this is how you got your 3000 + posts.

That's a little rude and uncalled for.

"I'd like any info/opinions/experiences" Akash gave you info.

Yes curtis that was rude...you obviously get your posts by bumping, and posting about the same topic multiple times.

He already replied once...now twice...now thrice.

I must be a doofus magnet...

zoobie, i highly suggest you read the rules.

Don't bump
Don't post twice about the same topic
Don't be rude.

Breaking this many rules in one thread can easily get you on the wrong side with the mods.

I've already given you my opinion, and there is obviously no one else here that wants to give you theirs. Take mine and move on, but please do not bump and/or post duplicate threads about the same topic.

I know DeepList is run by a 15 or 16 year old, something you may want to consider when making your decision.

LOL on their "about" page, it mostly looks like a copy an paste job, but scroll down to the bottom where it says:
Since DeepList's founding in 1998 my company has evolved impressively. In January 2001, we acquired AltaVista, bolstering our financial expertise while adding a new search elements to DeepList.
Hey they own AltaVista, so they must be good!

They could work on their grammer though :)

Thanks for the info.

I'm really not sure if there's any "they" involved. I sent charles an email and he returned it sounding like a 50 year old man. Then, I start to see games and rap music on the front page. With the "aquisition" of altavista, he must be doing something right. ;)

Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle...I guess this would scare off many potential customers...Maybe running it from his home?

I still haven't ruled deeplist out btw...

From AltaVista's "Company at a glance Page" (http://www.altavista.com/about/glance):
Headquartered in Palo Alto, Calif., AltaVista is a majority-owned operating company of CMGI Inc. (Nasdaq: CMGI).

May I ask what's attracting you to them?

Yep, it is a one man show run by Charles, who is 16...

But in one of his posts on FWS he stated his servers were in Illinois, maybe you should ask him?

I must have missed that post as I'm a regular @ FWS.

I just liked his price for a reseller plan: 8 gb bw, 200 mb space, 8 accounts, and a cp for a couple of bucks a month.

Clever and talented kid I'd say offhand...responsible, too. :stickout:

You seem to have made the decision, go ahead.
Then tell us your experience afterward.

Pretty obvious what the experience is going to be with $2 hosting that offers Tomcat. :)

Nope...Haven't made up my mind quite yet. I have another post asking about webspacedepot here. Since most hosts are new these days, sometimes, we havta take a small chance and see what happens. Even the old hosts started out new sometime...:stickout:
