So...does this mean it's going to be a 'long and tedious' wait to get an account? Was my order even placed? Has anyone else signed up with them and actually gotten an account?

I guess you answered your own questions by quoting the email. Why don't you contact them, the contact information are listed there. I believe they could be contacted via AIM too.

That just applies to billing inquiries, not regular sales/support issues...
