hey people, would you know any good web host, not more than $5 a month, with good service, that provides multimedia as one of the features, statistics, etc. It's an artist's website, and I might want to add multimedia in the future. Looking for peole I can trust, that won't lose my emails, that will be available. I've been shopping around for weeks and needs to make an urgent decisino. I was thinking about hostcabin.com, but open to other if they are no more than $60 a year. Please help!!!!

Dear Liege:

Hahaha, this should go into the Web Hosting Request Forum here:

Good luck on your host hunt!

Leigh, please follow the forum rules.

I've mentioned twice that you should post in "Web Hosting REQUESTS" forum to get the quotes from companies, because it is against the forum rules to post them in this forum.

here is the right link for you:
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=32

Please post there. No one will be able to respond here.

No host may respond. :D

Leigh123, $5 a month isn't a lot and I get the feeling a yearly plan might not be a good idea for you. I'd also suggest a host who has an active support forum so that other members and staff can help you with all fazes of support and site creation.

There are however choices depending on your needs which seem to be general but are sligthly more than $5 a month.

While about $1 over your budget, I'll still mention Myacen.com (http://www.myacen.com) who have a very good reputation on these forums.

There is also EnhancedHost.com (http://www.enhancedhost.com) which has a plan also but it's .25 cents more. They also have a good reputation. Both have support forums so that you can do some research and/or ask questions.

Good luck!

Leigh123,

Now that you know this should be in the Web Hosting Requests forum I would suggest checking out AddAction.net because of this (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=106623) and this (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=104898).

You pay an initial $9.95/mo setup fee, first 6 months are free with no obligation to stay then it's $6.95/mo thereafter ... if you refer just 10 people who sign up and stay with them then you get FREE webhosting for life ($0.69 per referral x 10 = $6.90 per month = FREE).

Disclaimer: I do not work for or have any personal interest in AddAction.net (other than becoming a customer soon), just making a recommendation, that's all.

There are plenty of threads posted in this forum where a member asks for hosting suggestions. A host may not promote their own services here but a hosting client such as myself can offer advice.

I would not recommend paying setup fees on a virtual account. And when I see claims such as "FREE webhosting for life" I get worried. I don't care what the scheme is.
