Hey, not sure if anyone uses this but I'm having an intermittent problem.
In our computer room, there are 3 computers in a row. The 2 outside ones are the 'good ones' that people use. The middle one is a crappy slow 500mhz used for email and internet sharing.
All 3 computers have Win2k, the middle one is the only one with a modem so it shares via Win2k's internet connection sharing (different from that of 98/ME)
I've used this for quite a while with no problems, but sometimes, the computers don’t recognize that an internet connect exists, no matter how many times you click the "auto-detect" link on the explorer error page.
The network connection is there, as I can view files on the server computer no problem. Sometimes redialling the internet solves the problem, other times I have to restart either the server computer or the one I'm using.
My question : Why?
Thanks
-Chris
