I didn't make it unfortunately as my inbound flight to Austin was diverted to Dallas so I arrived a few hours late. But if there is a dinner, then I hopefully might be able to make an appearance :) IGobyTerry 07-20-2011, 01:18 AM The_PM (Paul) has organized it in the past. Usually it was held the Sunday before - not aware of anything going on the day so far. semoweb 07-20-2011, 01:24 AM I hope it doesn't conflict with the cpanel party although that is quite late anyhow so I'm sure it wouldn't. Sparrow-Sean 07-20-2011, 01:56 AM Meh, always so far away :( shaunewing 07-21-2011, 07:12 PM Meh, always so far away :( Being in Australia isn't an excuse not to go - I'm in Canberra and am braving a 16 hour non-stop flight to get to the US. This will be my third HostingCon in a row :) Mike V 07-23-2011, 03:06 AM Last year it was done Sunday evening so as not to conflict with other events. Had a great turnout. Does anyone know the area around the convention center and could make suggestions? Last year only a handful of places were open in Austin on Sunday night, but the place we went to was great. semoweb 07-26-2011, 01:18 PM Last year it was done Sunday evening so as not to conflict with other events. That was just my main one. 3 flights is the minimum I can take to get to SD :) It wasn't too bad actually, but I fortunately wasn't in economy so I dozed off a few hours after dinner and woke up about 6 hours later when the breakfast service started :) I haven't made it to SD yet. I decided to do an overnight stopover in DFW to get over some of the jetlag (and see a Rangers game). My flight to SAN boards in ~10 minutes. Which reminds me, I should head from the lounge to my gate - I can board first and I want some of that valuable overhead locker space :D |
