Anyone have anything good/bad to say about VenturesOnline colo?

Anyone know what providers they are using?

Also, if you have a server on the east coast/south can you ping or traceroute their site for me?

I don't know about colo with Ventures Online but I have had a dedicated server with them for a year and a half and I couldn't be more pleased with the support and uptime.

If you run a business and it is important for your sites to be up all the time I would highly recommend them.

What would you say is the average ticket response time you have experienced?

What would you say their network uptime is?

I have been with VO since Feb 2001. Other than the move from VDI to Verio and then the move from Verio to VO's datacenter the downtime has been negligable.

I have found that the response time to tickets depends on the time of day as well as the type of problem. Looking over my past tickets, the initial response has ranged from 2 minutes to 63 minutes with an average response time of 22 minutes.

Looking back over my previous 10 tickets at the VO help desk the average time was right at 25 minutes, with the longest being 70 minutes and the shortest 3 minutes.

As far as up time it seems they are hardly ever down, I don't have any monitering software to give specific info, perhaps someone else does.

If someone has a test file inside there I could DL, could you PM with the addy possibly? Just something small, a ping can only tell me so much. :D

Thats where we colo our servers, no problems. Only great things to say, excellent support staff.

There no bad thing about VO but they have leak in services as follow:
-No Antvirus software
-What about billing system?
-They dont have unbranded marketing material.
-They dont offer email domain only soluation.
-No windows OS if your client's need ASP.

What does this have to do with colo? If you're putting your own box there it is up to you to provide all these things if you want them!

For what it's worth, we have had servers colo'd at VO for the past 14 months (maybe 15??) and have had nothing but excellent service. There have been a countless number of times when they have gone way above and beyond to help us out.
