Xenos 01-22-2003, 01:43 PM Excellent deal! I would have to wait until I received my tax refund before I could purchase one. All 10 are sure to be gone by then :bawling:
Quicksilver 01-22-2003, 02:03 PM What's the cost for RAM upgrades?

$40/mo unlimited
Mikajo 01-22-2003, 03:49 PM :: After 6 months of service you can colocate machine for $89/mo
With the same bandwidth specifications?
I cannot find this information on your website.
I'm interested ;)
ispclub.com 01-22-2003, 03:53 PM This info is not on our site since its a one time special for WHT.
Basically its $89/mo until you want us to ship you the server, nothing changes at all. The server basically turns into a colo after 6 months since its yours. You get the same bandwidth of 500GB.
btaylor 01-22-2003, 07:07 PM How much do you charge for additional IPs?
Btaylor
ispclub.com 01-22-2003, 07:09 PM $25/mo for block of 32
how much do you charge to ship it to me after 6 mos? Also is it 1U etc. and what are the hardware specs ?
ispclub.com 01-22-2003, 07:55 PM I guess that all depends on where you live
ispclub.com 01-22-2003, 08:09 PM Chassis info is here - http://usa.asus.com/desktop/termk7/overview.htm
ispclub.com 01-22-2003, 08:20 PM Just wanted to let everyone know that the spec of these servers have actually gone up from an XP1800 to an XP2100
hotice007 01-22-2003, 08:21 PM this is one sweet deal.
btaylor 01-22-2003, 08:58 PM Are there any contract to sign??
Btaylor
ispclub.com 01-22-2003, 09:39 PM No its month to month contract
any idea when these will be ready or is the 1 week set in stone?
:)
ispclub.com 01-22-2003, 10:18 PM The machines are being shipped to us and should arive I think Wednesday
ispclub.com 01-23-2003, 11:38 AM Just wanted to let everyone know that we were given an extra 256MB RAM in the order we have placed with our distributor so we are passing that to you. So the server has bumped up to the following specs, plus we ordered 10 more.
ASUS Terminator K7
AMD XP-2100
512MB RAM
40GB HD
I hope the HD would be upgraded to 7200rpm for free as well, instead of just 5400rpm :)
fonpi 01-23-2003, 01:53 PM Anymore left?? I am going to yank my DedicatedNow server and switch it to you.
Fonpi
ispclub.com 01-23-2003, 02:07 PM Since we got a lot of requests for the 7200rpm HD, we did it for you, here are the specs of the HD:
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 8
7200 RPM
2MB Cache
<10 ms Access
Ultra ATA 133 (133MB/sec)
512MB RAM is Kingston w/ lifetime warranty
When the machine becomes yours you get this warrany with one hell of a set up.
ispclub.com 01-23-2003, 02:09 PM fonpi,
For this first round we still have some left, but I am told we will get another 10 in.
Just so you know these servers wont be in until next week, around Wednesday.
We are looking to make this our offer from here on out until we find something better of course.
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus is cool! I have 2 of those hard-drives in my PC now and they've never disappointed me :)
ispclub.com 01-23-2003, 02:42 PM Yeah I hear that, never have problems with Maxtor or Seagate... We stay away from Western Digital
I have some questions:
- what's your hardware replacement guarantee?
- after 6 months, will you replace damaged hardware for free?
ispclub.com 01-23-2003, 03:11 PM We will take care of everything when it comes to hardware when we have control of the server. Once the server is out of our hands it is up to you to deal with the manufacturers with any problems. We are not going to be responsible for a server that is not in our direct control.
panopticon 01-23-2003, 03:15 PM So after 6 months when the server belongs to the customer but is collocated with you for $89/month it will become the customer's responsibility to cover the cost of hardware replacements if something goes bust, correct?
I think that's the catch then. I'm afraid problems will start to happen after 6 months and I'd end up paying more to replace the hardware.
Is there any better option? (to still get the hardware guaranteed after 6 months)
ispclub.com 01-23-2003, 03:33 PM panopticon,
If the server is in our control then we will take care of all hardware, that includes even after the initial 6 months and as long as the server is in our data center.
This is all a manufaturer warranty, since we will always have spare parts in stock we will swap anything out and we will deal with the manufacturer ourselves.
It is when you have control of the machine when you will have to deal with the manufacturer on your own.
ispclub.com 01-23-2003, 03:38 PM twrs,
We are giving you a quality machine, we arent giving you generic hardware. The chassis and motherboard is all ASUS, RAM Kingston and HD is Maxtor.
Will there be a bad one in the bunch, maybe but you will know if its a bad machine or motherboard or HD right away and we will take care of that for you.
If a server is working fine for 6 months more times than not its a good machine and you will have minimal problems.
Its not like you arent getting a warranty after the server is yours, all it means is that you have to call the manufacturer yourself.
After 6 months and I decide to let the server stay at your place as usual, so will you still take care of it if there's a hardware failure?
BTW, does this server support IDE RAID? How much to setup RAID on this server with an extra 40 GB HD?
ispclub.com 01-23-2003, 04:20 PM Yes we will take care of hardware if the server is in our data center.
Yes we can do hardware RAID for one time fee of $200 with a 40GB HD 7200rpm.
ispclub.com 01-23-2003, 09:59 PM Just wanted to let everyone know that we will have cpanel in about 2 weeks, price will be $39/mo.
I'm very interested in your offer and I've been testing your network since yesterday.
Your network's indeed fast and very good, however there's one thing that bothered me. I consistently get a low packet loss and sometimes the ping times can jump to over 218 ms. Could you please explain it a bit?
--- 65.125.236.2 ping statistics ---

ispclub.com 01-24-2003, 01:03 AM Havent had any network trouble at all and you are getting 8ms traceroutes. High pings here and there all depends on network traffic between you and us, that could be happening anywhere.
mushrew 01-24-2003, 01:18 AM How much for extra RAM and after those 6 months if we ship any additional parts to you such as RAM or HDs will you install it for a nominal charge or must we pay you directly for those addons?
ispclub.com 01-24-2003, 01:25 AM If you want to ship us hardware we will gladly install it for you. We charge $75/hr to do anything, 30 minute minimum. So of course anything you need us to add on is basically going to be less than a 30 minute job.
How much extra RAM are you looking for?
mushrew 01-24-2003, 01:26 AM 512mb
ispclub.com 01-24-2003, 01:28 AM $100
mushrew 01-24-2003, 01:31 AM That's a one-time setup fee correct?
ispclub.com 01-24-2003, 01:33 AM Yes it is
chrisranjana 01-24-2003, 01:34 AM ispclub.com
is it possible for you to go easy on the setup fees ? I mean in the range of $99 or something !
WebmastersHost 01-24-2003, 01:35 AM Originally posted by ispclub.com
Just wanted to let everyone know that we will have cpanel in about 2 weeks, price will be $39/mo.
- Will this include install and setup of WHM/CPanel?
- On additional IPs... Is it a simple request process or the dreaded Arin application process? Can you expound on your IP policy?
- Reboot policy?
- Can the setup fee be lowered / altered / stretched 3 to 6 months / higher monthly, etc.?
Thank you.
mcyhanick 01-24-2003, 01:46 AM yes very interested in this setup fee issue, it tells me wether i get 1 or 3 servers :)
ispclub.com 01-24-2003, 01:57 AM chrisranjana
We have servers with lower set up fees here - http://www.ezzi.net/specials/home.htm
mushrew 01-24-2003, 02:02 AM For what you're getting the setup fees are reasonable, and you'll be saving more over the long run versus servers with higher monthly fees and lower setup fees. I'm definitely picking up a few of these machines.
ispclub.com 01-24-2003, 02:03 AM WebmastersHost,
Any cpanel issues will be answered at a later date when we are ready to provide the product.
When it comes to IPs, you do need to justify the ones you are asking for.
We give free reboots as long as they are not excessive
We are not asking you to sign a contract so there is no guarantee that you will pay us and not cancel the service, so we cannot stretch out the set up.
We have other servers with lower set up fees on at the link above this post.
mushrew 01-24-2003, 02:14 AM In case anybody cares about speeds, about 600k/sec from Atrivo (wworks within eXchange colo in SF, CA) and 1000k/sec from ThePlanet.
ispclub.com 01-24-2003, 02:38 AM Pretty impressive speeds... oh wait you talking about our network :D
I know someone out there can get higher than that, we hit over 20Mbps downloading from AOL from here.
What're the current bandwidth providers? I've seen Telia and Level3 in some of my traceroutes, but so far no sign of Global Crossing or any others.
mushrew 01-24-2003, 03:00 AM Those are very good speeds for my servers, I'll be ordering a couple of yours in the next few days.
mushrew 01-24-2003, 03:02 AM I go via globalcrossing from here in San Diego over Road Runner broadband.
Cool, so they do have "it" in their network, very impressive :)
NORRITT 01-24-2003, 11:13 AM is it possible to get the server in a 1U case? how much additional?
ispclub.com 01-24-2003, 11:17 AM NORRITT,
If you want a custom server please contact sales@ezzi.net with your specs and we can give you a quote.
NORRITT 01-24-2003, 11:21 AM ispclub.com, you have a mail
JustinHoMi 01-24-2003, 05:33 PM Has anyone ordered one of these servers yet? I'm curious about consistency with these low pings. Every now and then I'll ping it and the pings will be really high....
ispclub.com 01-24-2003, 05:41 PM JustinHoMi,
The servers wont be ready until the end of next week.
scscomm 01-25-2003, 02:30 PM Do you have an on-line sign up page?

NORRITT 01-25-2003, 05:43 PM I have emaild you yesterday about a custom quote on that server but in a 1U case. You wanted to come back on me later. still no reply.
ispclub.com 01-25-2003, 05:55 PM NORRITT,

XP 2.1+
512 MB DDR RAM

500 GB Traffic
NORRITT 01-25-2003, 05:57 PM right :)
you wanted to contact me later on, but as mentioned, still waiting..
ispclub.com 01-25-2003, 06:04 PM Ok, just so you know its easier to just contact us directly, not go through the forum.
TowerHost 01-25-2003, 06:11 PM Your original post didn't have any setup fees, you've changed it?
ispclub.com 01-25-2003, 06:15 PM The post has always been
$89/mo
$199 set up
Hostkookster 01-26-2003, 01:26 AM I couldn't get anyone on your live chat so here goes...
How long have you been offering dedicated servers?
What is the overage charge on extra bandwidth should I go over my allocated amount?
Do you have true 24/7/365 support? Meaning trained technicians in your DC full time (not at home waiting for a call and then they have to make a 1 hour commute). What support do I receive as a client? - unmanaged and managed are pretty broad terms.
ispclub.com 01-26-2003, 02:11 AM Hostkookster,
If you have any sales questions in the future it is much easier to discuss over email - sales@ezzi.net.
Offering dedicated servers since 1999. Overage is $1 per GB. Yes you have true 24/7 support. There is always a fine line of free support and paid support, we try to do what we can but basically you break it you pay for it. You need us to fix the server because you did something that made it not work we will charge you for it ($75/hr). If you need some help we can point you in the right direction and do our best in getting you past any bumps in the road.
Hope this helps, any other questions please contact us at sales@ezzi.net
So, after 6 months and i decide to not to co-locate, how much will the monthly charge be?;)
ispclub.com 01-26-2003, 11:22 AM raiz,
How much will what charge be? To ship it to you?
Please email sales@ezzi.net with any further questions.
You said, after 6 months, i will be the one owning the server. Will I still be charged if I decide to let the server stay on your datacenter after the 6 months.
ispclub.com 01-27-2003, 10:42 AM Its $89/mo to keep the server colocated with us after 6 months
adirondack 01-27-2003, 02:54 PM just one quick question, how large are these servers? how much do you project shipping to be? (after the 6months) :)
sorry i would e-mail you, but im at work.
ispclub.com 01-27-2003, 03:01 PM Shipping depends on your location, you can go to UPS or FedEx and figure that out, our zip is 11739.
Specs to the chassis are here - http://usa.asus.com/desktop/termk7/overview.htm
Hope this helps
adirondack 01-27-2003, 03:49 PM Ok, thanks. about the same size as a tower, maybe 30-50 at the most.
Thanks.
can you put win2k for me on it?
i will provide my customer licence.
how much will it cost to install win2k for me on it?
can you provide a contorl panel for win2000?
which one can you offer and in what price?
ispclub.com 01-28-2003, 12:57 PM biz,
Can you provide us with an email or email sales@ezzi.net so we can provide you with a quote
iKHost 01-30-2003, 11:55 PM which data center will these servers be in? After the 6 months if we decide to colocate do we get physical access to the server and if so how does that work? How much for a 40GB HD -> 80GB upgrade? If no one is on your site chat, is there a number we can call if we needed a reboot?
ispclub.com 01-31-2003, 01:50 AM iKHost,
It will be in datacenter3500
All support will go through our ticket system
Yes you can have physical access to the machine
Please send an email to sales@ezzi.net so we can provide you with any quotes.
