I haven't tried it myself, but I have heard many good things about it. Search this fourm for comments on it. BTW: I don't get any money or anything for saying that :) gthorley 05-11-2001, 10:01 AM I would look at Hosting Matters (http://www.hostmatters.com/plans.html) there mini plan $6.00 has 10 mb and 1 gig and they will allow you to host 3 domains on the plan for no extra fee. If it turns out you need more space then their next plan would provide 20mb and 1.5 gig for $8.00. This plan would probably be the best for you as it ensures you don't bump your bandwidth limit. This is a superb host and well regarded as you will see if you do a search both here and on http://sitepointforums.com/ tjones2008 05-11-2001, 07:47 PM <<MOD EDIT: URL not allowed due to own of domain spamming forum relentlessly>> offers $7.95/mo. plan for up to 2 domain names/sites kunal 05-12-2001, 01:43 AM Originally posted by tjones2008 <<MOD EDIT: URL not allowed due to own of domain spamming forum relentlessly>> offers $7.95/mo. plan for up to 2 domain names/sites Which website do you have with them? CrazyHostGuy 05-12-2001, 05:49 AM gthorley, I actually could have sent this message a few minutes ago, but after seeing the icon under your name, I had to stop everything, tnad up and sign our National Anthem! Oh, Canada.... Cheers! Rob. CrazyHostGuy 05-12-2001, 05:52 AM (My fingers are too fat.... most Canadians can spell better than I!!) Should have read... "Stand up and sing our National Anthem." Cheers! Rob. pt2004 05-14-2001, 06:17 PM I have found a few hosting plans, all with CGI: 97cents.com > 5 mb & unlim. traffic - $11.64/year; 1dollarhosting.com > 20mb & unlim. traffic - $12/year; 34sp.com > 30mb & 400mb traffic - $17/year; nozol.com > 15mb & 1Gb traffic - $19.20/year; dog-computers.net > 5mb & unlim. traffic - $21/year; connecticut-web.com > 25mb & 3Gb traffic - $24/year; secured-net.net > 10mb & unlim. traffic -$26.85/year; cheaphostonline.com > 10mb & 1Gb traffic - $29.88/year; averdata.com > 20mb & unlim. traffic - $30/year; hosting4cheap.net > 30mb & 1Gb traffic - $30/year; catalog.com > 20mb & 1Gb traffic - $35/year with domain registration included; 1webhostblvd.com > 10mb & 2Gb traffic - $35/year; bitshack.com > 10mb & 2Gb traffic - $35/year; rnwebdesign.com > 25mb & 1Gb traffic - $35.40/year; Can anyone give me some info about these hosting companies? Dogma 05-14-2001, 06:24 PM Sorry, but just to let you know, There ain't no such thing as unlimited storage/transfer. I would go with a host that you see here that has got good marks. Off the top of my head: www.hostrocket.com www.aletiahosting.com www.site5.com etc, etc.... Also be wary off year plans, especially ones that cheap. I'm not making judgements about cheap hosts, but if a host is promising storage and unlimited trafice for $15 a year they are probably going to have crappy service/support. I would be wary. If I'm wrong, feel free to yell at me for being judgmental inet7 05-15-2001, 03:49 AM Ummm...look for cancellation fee's or "membership" fee's within the fine print of some of those hosting companies. determinist 05-15-2001, 06:04 AM My suggestions is, do a search (this forum) on the 2 following host, 34sp.com hostdiscount.net ckizer 05-15-2001, 06:34 AM Why is it that people always try to get away with hosting more than one site for $7? I mean even one site at $7... Think about it. Dogma 05-15-2001, 10:54 PM All I can say is...........deep man!! ;) lol excuss above thingy | time=late!! |
