Is webalizer good enough, or do I need to focux on something more corporate like web trend. magnafix 01-22-2003, 02:13 AM Wusage offers a LOT more detail and is affordable. http://www.wusage.com Web Hosting Stuff 01-22-2003, 04:21 AM Ever considered using cookies to track conversions? sharkman 01-28-2003, 01:35 AM not really how would yo do that? sharkman 01-28-2003, 01:36 AM Originally posted by magnafix Wusage offers a LOT more detail and is affordable. http://www.wusage.com how is it in compare to web trend eddy2099 01-28-2003, 01:47 AM Simply put, there is simply no comparison between Wusage and Web trend. Pricing is one thing with Wusage going to as low as free to Web trend which goes as low as $3,500. Wusage is more a web log statistic program which collates the hits and present them in a readable summary form. Web trend on the other hand is more a CRM tool which does collates and computes the web logs and give you an understanding of your visitors trends. Of course, certain components of the report would be identical but there are quite a number of differences. Compare the two reports and you can see the difference. Wusage : http://www.boutell.com/wusage/example/ Web trend : http://demo.webtrends.com/reports/ormdcs.wlp/index.html sharkman 01-28-2003, 02:16 AM From you description sounds like webtrend is a much powerful tool. Am I correct? eddy2099 01-28-2003, 02:34 AM Yes, webtrend used to be just any other web statistics program but it has evolved to accomodate the eCommerce websites and their reporting needs. It is a whole different ballgame altogether. Compare the two reports and you will see what I mean, especially at the reports on Customers, Conversion, Marketing and so on. |
