How do I make IE 5.5 open every htm, html and shtml page on my computer? When i open a .shtml page my computer will use Netscape to do it with but i want IE to open it i tired to change it in folder options then to file types then all .shtml files had an IE icon but when i opened them it would not pull up the page IE would just open and that's it. Is there any program to change these types of settings?

I also tired to just restore the default settings in IE under Internet options but that didn't work.

reinstall IE :)

Make IE your default browser. You may also have to assign it additional extensions, like shtml. Once both those things are done, IE will open those pages and Netscape will be out of the picture.
