I was just wondering, how much would i have to spend initially to start reselling domain names?

It says at least 250 USD, but what does that 250 bucks get me? Is that like the minimum setup fee? What are the additional costs? What are the costs of running the services(For me?)

E.G. 25 people register domain names through me during the first year...I charge they 15 bucks a piece.

25x$15=$375

From that $375, What exactly would be my profit/
$375-$250=$125
Would it be $125? Or are there additional costs I must worry about?

Just interms of what I must pay to OpenSRS...Web hosting and tech support will not be an issue at the present time. (Not in this equation) Obviously they will be an issue, but I'm just ignoring them for the sake of this example.

OpenSRS "expects" you to sell at least 25 domain names, but the only real enforcement to that is requiring you to prepay for that many. The $250 payment is a prepayment for your first 25 names at $10 each.

In order, though, to use the $250 minimum you have to use the "Full Access" OpenSRS client software. If you want to use the "Quick Start" setup, your minimum payment will be $500.

nope, you can deposit money again when the $250 used. You can resell as much domain as you like per year. Besides if you sell more than 50 domains per month there are some incentives:

It is kind of deposit. When u register a new domain, $10 will be deducted from the $250. You need to add more $$$ when the $250 finish.

your profit will be $125. No additional hidden fee.

The only "hidden" cost is your time. Setting up the software and going through the 'test-bed' phase may take some time.

There are other options out there. You may pay a little more per domain, but you most likely won't be saddled with the development of the interface, etc.
