View Full Version : Need our main page jazzing up and a better way to display hosting plans
jamesaspey 01-18-2003, 04:27 PM Hello, we are looking for a designer who can jazz up our main page and make a presentable method of displaying hosting plans, in return we will offer you free hosting. Only people who are interested need reply to this thread.
Mekhu 01-18-2003, 04:36 PM What exactly would you want changed... displaying plans on the main page or a nice table on your hosting page?
Your site is amazing!
jamesaspey 01-18-2003, 04:38 PM The main boxes on the front page, we need to present them better, so customers get a glimpse of what we have to offer, i like the site myself and dont want the actual header etc changing, just the actual layout , i like the way hosts display plans in tables and wouldnt mind doing that myself.
JWise 01-18-2003, 05:13 PM So you want a better way to display plans, Is that what your are asking?
jamesaspey 01-18-2003, 05:14 PM yes, and also the main page,
jamesaspey 01-18-2003, 06:12 PM anyone :D
Mekhu 01-18-2003, 06:39 PM lol, everyone is intimidated by the great design ;)
jamesaspey 01-18-2003, 06:40 PM come on,, im have no eye for design its obvious you guys do
aonic 01-18-2003, 06:43 PM no its not that it just that most prolly have hosting already :)
Acroplex 01-18-2003, 06:49 PM Please consider removing that imac, it's an eyesore :(
jamesaspey 01-18-2003, 06:54 PM bah lol :) anyone? :sobs:
aonic 01-18-2003, 07:13 PM ill give it a shot but we need to talk on AIM or MSN :D
aim: pureevil4
msn: aonic@hotmail
EthicalEpi 01-18-2003, 07:45 PM I think I prefer your site the way it is. Its nicely structured and the front page isn't too busy (which it might be if you have hosting plan tables in there). Anyone going to your site is gonna click that 'hosting' button where they can see the plans anyway I'd guess.
I'd probably recommend leaving things the way they are, but if you're set on changing it, I can help you with that while keeping within your existing style guidelines.
I do think your ordering pages could do with a little work though so that they look like part of the same website (no offense!).
P.S. Ignore that comment about the i-mac. I think it looks beautiful.
mike01 01-18-2003, 08:00 PM im sure if you offered more then free hosting people would be jumping all over it, most people here already have hosting.
jamesaspey 01-18-2003, 08:40 PM sounds great EthicalEpi you got msn? icq?
Acroplex 01-18-2003, 08:42 PM imac and hosting?
haha
get real.
jamesaspey 01-18-2003, 09:33 PM timechange, and your comments have what purpose? .... exactly, before you start going round churning out forum rules i suggest doing so yourself.

Why are you so concerned if you are looking for a redesign?
And come on, think of it: the depicted gentleman sitting in front of a blue imac serves what pupose?
My point is, templated work might be quick and cheap, but some thought should be put to the particular subject being served, in your case hosting.
Consider that free advice; normally I charge $75 /hour :D
jamesaspey 01-18-2003, 09:46 PM sorry i had to comment on this, and what exactly do clocks have to do with webdesign? please enlighten me i would love to know :stickout: (btw im talking about the clocks on his site)
Stung? :P
Acroplex 01-18-2003, 09:49 PM timechange dude. Evolution. Constant flow.
But you're right about one thing on your design, the clouds over the UK are that much depressing.
PS this page gets 1,000,000 hits twice a year: http://timechange.com/dls/
jamesaspey 01-18-2003, 09:50 PM I also did mention i wasnt looking for a redesign, if you havent got anything to say in relation the topic, then why the heck post? no offense but i can now see where you get your post count from.

I really am not arguing with such an arogant person as yourself, go make your own thread and speak to that.
Acroplex 01-18-2003, 09:53 PM Who's arguing? All I said was that the imac in your design looks SO much out of place.
Why are you so touchy?
Best of luck with your redesign, my advice to you is to rediscover some of the great British humor, which I so much like :D
