Does anyone recommend a solid FAQ or Knowledgebase Solution for customers and/or site visitors to self-service themselves on services/products a company offers?

We can second KBase. Marty's script is quite handy, and nicely written.

I think bravenet.com has kind of free faq service for websites. if you pay a fee, you make it banner free.

Never tried it, but may worth a try.

You'll find many Faq and Knowledgebase solutions at www.hotscripts.com. What's more, most of these are free, and you can chose between PHP, ASP and Perl (to name just a few).
