First post.... Let's see if i can get some help...

Ok. I don't like Front Page to begin with but we just moved a clients site over to our IIS 5 2000 Server. The site was done in front page, and previously hosted on a *NIX server with mod_frontpage.

There is a members section to our customers site which is secured by username and password. Previously on the *NIX server all she had to do was go into Tools/Premissions in Front Page, and then goto useres and could click add users and then add a username and password.

Since moving the site over to IIS 5 with Front Page 2000 extensions now when you go into Tools/Premissions you get a list of users for the domain to choose from. Being the server administrator I don't want to have to go add a users to the domain every time that she needs a new user on her site. Is there an option somewhere that would allow her to add useres to either the domain, or prehaps just a group. Anything that would make my job easier.

Are you using a control panel to create your account. As sys admin basics, you'll want to create a group called whatever you want but I'll use frontpage for my example. Everytime you create an account that needs frontpage just add them into this group. They will automatically inherit whatever is set for that group. As far as her being able to create the accounts herself that depends on the rights she has on the server. NT server has a group called domain accounts which allows people to create and modify domain accounts etc. Put her in this group. I hope that helps. Or maybe I didnt' understand your question correctly.
