I'm using easymonitor.com to monitor my sites and this is a second day I'm getting this errors.
I can access my Cpanel/WHM but not the web site, I get "cannot find server" error.

Can some explain what " 500 EOF" means.

HTTP Error 500 unexpected EOF before status line seen
HTTP Error 500 EOF instead of reponse status line

Thanks.

can someone please check http://classifieds.480-602.com see if it works.

From the looks of it, it seems that it could not serve the entire page probably because of some server problem.

Did you install anything to your server before this happened ? If so, perhaps you could uninstall it. Somethings seem not to be installed correctly.

I get a DNS error as well. It's definitely not a site coding issue, so I'd have to agree with eddy and say something's misconfigured or installed incorrectly.

No I did not installed anything new, maybe my host did.

The strange thing is
Alertra.com doesn't report any problems!!!! :bawling:
Redalert report problem but it does not know what the problem is.
Easymonitor reports "500 EOF" problem.

My sites have been down 6 hours, 44 mins :bawling: :bawling:

Johnny,

Is this a shared hosting or dedicated hosting ? If it is shared, drop your host an email/support ticket to get it restart or something. if it is dedicated, you could telnet and see if you could restart the services.

It seems that even http://www.480-602.com is down. It seems that the web server is misconfigured or stopped working but the server is pretty much still pingable.

Edwin, thanks.

Yes it is shared hosting and it is still pingable. I can even access the cpanel but not the web sites.

I did e-mail my host about 3-4 times but no responds yet :bawling:

If I am not wrong, Cpanel does not require Apache to work and works independently. That probably explains why you could get in and not be able to get your site.

I guess you might just have to wait for them to have the problem resolved. By the way, if they have an emergency number or email address, you can contact them by or wait till the next morning to see if they get it resolved when they are up.

I was seeing the same error for a couple of days. (host at the NAC center) Maybe it's actually bad code on the EasyMonitor end or misconfigs in a router somewhere.

OTOH, maybe it's a bad patch in Apache. :)
