View Full Version : Help Resources for resellers
BasinWebGURU 01-17-2003, 12:28 AM First off I am no way affiliate with the company I am about to discuss. I went to demodemo.com and reviewed thier video tutorials. I purchased a WHM and CPanel package from thier company. They seem to have some very good tutorials. Do tutorial of this nature really cut down on trouble tickets and support calls? Is there any other good help products available fee based or free for resellers?
Thanks
goosehost 01-17-2003, 01:18 AM Are u from http://www.nocster.com too?
Mo Money 01-17-2003, 01:41 AM your site is a complete rip off of www.nocster.com
pattox 01-17-2003, 01:49 AM Yes, That is the most blatant rip off i've ever seen
I hope hes just a nocster reseller who's not very creative
parawing742 01-17-2003, 01:50 AM His network pages says their servers are located in Scranton, PA so he probably resells Nocster servers. Perhaps Nocster allows their reseller to use their content?
BasinWebGURU 01-17-2003, 02:06 AM Matter of fact BurstNet recommends use of content, that way you give all the details that thier site does. Yes I am a reseller.
You cannot rip off content that was given to you. Before you start posting your opinions check with Nocster and BurstNet.
partang2 01-17-2003, 04:15 AM True....
UH-Matt 01-17-2003, 09:29 AM But you could try being a original.
Mo Money 01-18-2003, 05:39 AM ya really, total lack of creativity, wich means that it is likely your business will not succeed. :o
SoftWareRevue 01-18-2003, 05:42 AM Nocster freely allows their resellers to use any of their content.
Would be an easy way to get set up quickly.
Samuel 01-18-2003, 06:34 AM Yes but does it affect the price of coffee?

Sorry if I sound like a prick but, Heres my 2 cents.

Dec 8 Told company I was working for **** off
Dec 10 Opened an account with boxedart (template)
Dec 12 Started working on site.

Jan 18 Site still not ready for taking public orders.
This happened cause I was screwed twice on design, Host I was with never lived up to his promises.
So here i am trying to get my site fixed up cause I dont wanna trust on one else with my money.
So if my reseller host offered a good design I would jump on it so i could launch the biz. Give the person a chance, he/she may be designing one so they're using that until they get they're site done
pattox 01-18-2003, 08:42 AM But then again there isnt realy room for franchises on the internet, His site is just a copy, and hes maybe $10 cheaper/more expensive, so why wouldnt people just go directly with nocster.

I'm in no way meaning this agains nocster, heard some incredible things about them. Just theoretically (sp?)
1. Might not know about nocster, so would never even know they are just reselling
2. Lots of times resellers try to focus on a point to better the services, i.e. provide much better personalized support, or whatever..
Resellers sometimes can bring a great set of features to the table... all depends ;)
Website Rob 01-19-2003, 04:01 AM A shame how a few people like to take a thread so totally off topic.
To get back to it, although I've only seen a couple of the demdemo tutorials, anything along those lines really depend upon how well and specific they are. I do believe the program Vito used is free, but there is a pay-for version (no Ads) which is what he probably used.
Help for Resellers to build their business really needs to come from their Hoster or a person's own initiative -- Vito is a good example for that. :)
BasinWebGURU 01-19-2003, 05:20 AM Thanks for the information. Also to the one that posted it is a way to get started by using the content if they allow wich BurstNet did. I agree with you and thats why I did it. I have been in the hosting business as a reseller for another company for 2 years I just wanted a fresh start since I added dedicated servers to resell instead of space off my dedicated. I was in the process of redesigning the site when this post started. Feel free to visit us anytime as you can see we have made major changes to the site. Dont be too critical on replys about the changes the packages are basically the same it is thier servers.
