We are looking to host a number of database driven sites on two dedicated servers. Initially our traffic is in Europe but we are expecting a rapid increase in US & asiaPacific traffic.

We have researched costs in UK/ Europe, where win2k ded. servers are not that common and have been disappointed with pricing - large setup fees, hi monthly costs and limited bandwith.

Reading various posts here, it seems that using an East Coast provider would not really affect access speed for our initial europe based visitors. It appears Us prices / options are signficantly lower/ more varied than for europe.

With this in mind would like to receive info from US isp's for following:

Our needs are for one win2k server with dual processor, scsi hdd's, 512mb ram and sql server 2k.

The other server win2k, single proc, 10 gb hdd, 256mb ram, MSExchange server, dns server configured.

Given I am based in Europe 24/7 tech support important, as is 'personalised' inital O/s & software set up - we have 20/25 and increasing domain names to administer.

Finally, we are in a hurry.......

Look forward to hearing from you,

Gavina

Nevermind posting things like this.

I did it too and only got a few (thank you for that!) reactions.

You should make your requests to the companies direct I suppose :-(

We can most likely help you with your request. We have extensive experience with SQL 2k and strong knowledge of exchange. Please contact me via icq using the below infomration as I have a few questions for you.

I guess I agree with Domenico, it is hard to find someone who will offer this for you.

at hostPx.com we do offer such a thing, however, I will highly recommand you to buy those two servers and set them up the way you like and then co-lo them in a Data Center you trust.

jay, and I can offer you win2k Ded. Servers or co-lo.

if you know how to set those servers up with win2k, sql server 2k, and MSExchange server, them it is best and cheaper to do them youself and send those servers to a co-lo provider. however, if you can't do them, or you are not really at doing them, then the best thing is to go with a Managed Servers.

also about the East or West Coast . believe me, if you visitors are in Europe then it is best to do it in Europe. as far as I know, the lines between the US and Europe are getting full, and they are adding more lines.

if we want to do it in the US, find a hosting Company that has a good peering and a lot of OC-X. It is not going to make big deal where do your servers going to be in the US.

Finally, GOOD LUCK
