February 4 I ordered a domain account from icom.com. Paid it with my VISA card and the day after the money was withdrawn, but after that not a word from them.
I wrote a e-mail and asked for my account information, and after 3 days they replied and
Said the information was sent February 5’Th. Then I sent another e-mail and asked if they could re-send it since I hadn’t received anything, but no response what so ever, so then I decided to switch to another provider (hostsave.com) since I needed the domain up and running because of several active e-mail accounts under the domain. Sent another e-mail to icom.com that I wanted my money refunded since they didn’t deliver what I had paid for and got a quick respond that they didn’t have any “money back warranty”. Sent them another e-mail that I at least could get the account information so I could at least start to use the account, but guess what, NO RESPONSE! After 15-20 e-mails I finally got my information may 9, wrote back and thanked them for FINALLY responding and sending me my account information, and since I was VERY pleased with the service of hostsave.com I wished to keep the domain I had there and put another domain on icom.com server, after all, I had paid for a full year and since they couldn’t give me my money back. Thy Kim at icom support then said that this was free and I could do that. I then sent another e-mail to them where I asked for them to set up the domain on my account, and the response I got, “But that cost you $75”! So, because of they being 4 months to late with all my account information, and I been paying for something I couldn’t use what so ever, I have to pay THEM another $75?!?! I don’t think so!.
I recommend everybody to stay clear of icom.com, they don’t have a clue about customer service, and don’t know that it’s the customers that keep them alive!!

I put up a little page about them...

Don't believe me? Would you believe the Better Business Bureau? Find out what THEY say about icom.com... it ain't a pretty picture.

Isn't that advertising in the post above?

But, yeah. I wonder what these other web host are thinking?

It has to be some children or just plain bad business they are doing at these hosting companies..

I don't mean to be rude or off topic... Optimal, in the Forum Rules, it lays out exactly what is considered advertising and that it's NOT to be done. Your post, that went something like "yeah, I know, they're bad. We've got tons better stuff, come check us out or email us" is almost word for word what the Forum Rules says not to post. That's why a bunch of people were yelling at you.

Somehow I missed that one. It has been taken care of thank you. In the future (to keep threads cleaner and on topic), please email moderators@webhostlink.com if you see this or feel free to contact me via ICQ (rather than post about the violation).

Thankx!

(Really don't know how I missed that blatent one though, sheeeesh).

Edit:
Duh, just realized this thread is quite old. Was posted long before the mods came on, and due to being resurected, has some problems.

I did take out some of the advertsing, but I'm not quite sure what the rules were before I got here, and why it wasn't cleaned originally.
