I'm looking for a server to put just downloads on.

I saw 2 offers :

http://www.unitedcolo.com/
$99 for 1000gb
$0.50 / 1GB extra

http://www.fdcservers.net/
$99 for unmetered (shared 10mbit ?)

which one is best you guys think ?
if fdcservers.net gives a 10mbit line I *could* get 3.3tb/m from it ... but I have never been on fdc , so I have no idea about the available bw left for each server.

Any tips are welcome.

From my current experience, you'll never get that speed from FDC... Their network are WAY oversold... At max, I can get 200 from home (while getting 600+ easily on other). Packet lost is often ranging from 5% to 20% and on peak times, well just forget the speeds...

I don't have any box in UC through...

If those are the only two choices I would go UnitedColo. How many GB do you really do a month? Are you mostly worried about overage?

Personally I use FDC for downloads. I figure if I'm not charging for the service, how can anyone complain if the download fluctuates between 150-200 Kbps due to packet loss. I am impressed with the speed though... I routinely cap out my cable modem which is a 384kbps/3.0Mbps up/down config. Of course that happens for short periods, but most of the downloads I host are under 50 MBs.
