Hi,

We wouldn't recommend that you use it for any production server.

We wrote it briefly for a clients request, mostly for testing.

Since being written the software has changed versions and we've also found that the memory settings are the wrong way around, but since no one really uses it we've not found a requirement to changed it.

Regards,
Martin

i've done this a long time a go. performance not too bad :p

the problem is commonly from disk I/O where Xen is already virtualized (read: share)

i still have this VM if you want a try.

I have no experience of actually running it other than just testing, so have no real world performance information.

The OpenVZ instance did seem surprisingly snappy, probably better than I had imagined, I know someone else tried it with a busier VPS and saw some performance issues but I think it all depends on what you plan to run on the VPS.

I used it mainly as a proof of concept to see if it could be done, was surprisingly easy to get set up and working though.
