Over the past two weeks we've seen more myODBC requests than we've seen in a year. Since we've just gone through the dance necessary to set this up for a couple of clients, I can say that just about any host should support it. The question then becomes will your host set it up for you. It does involve a lisght configuration change, as most mySQL instances rely on 'localhost' as the hostname and won't recognize remote connection attempts as valid. If you're currently hosting somewhere, try asking your host if they'll set it up for you. If you're looking, make sure you include that as a requirement in the list of questions you send to whatever hosts are on your list. The only thing wrong with remote myODBC connections is that they tend to be dog slow for dialup users. Rookie38 05-07-2001, 03:52 PM http://www.phpwebhosting.com said that they are supporting this...
