First off, I checked our ordering system today, as I always do, to check everything is working. When I checked it today I was in for one hell of a surprise. The following error was on all the PaySystems.com hosted pages.
Product ID not registered within the database. Please check the referring URL and try again. If you are having problems integrating TotalCart into your web site, please contact our support staff at support@paysystems.com.
Okay, I thought to myself, this isn't a problem, I will just submit a support ticket and this will be fixed. 6 hours later, no reply to my support ticket, ordering system is down, people are trying to signup and we have probably lost a few sales by this stage.
So, I decided to call them, I couldn't call their US-Support Number as it doesn't work from the UK, so I called their operator and spoke to someone who could barely speak English to save themselves. Anyway, I finally understood what they were trying to say and they gave me a UK 0800 number. Unfortunately, when calling this number it rang to "Scottish Hydro-Electric", who didn't have a clue who or what PaySystems.com was.
Next, I called back the US-based operator and explained this to them, they then gave me another US number and a phone extension. I dialled this, bingo "Welcome to PaySystems.com, please enter the extension." So I thought, great, I am in, but wait, when I put in the extension the woman provided it said "Sorry, this is an invalid extension. Goodbye!"
Called the operator back again and asked if they could simply transfer me to technical support, "No, we are on different phone systems, there is nothing I can do." So I explained I was about to cancel my account if I didn't get this resolved. Finally! they gave me a support number which actually worked.
Right, we are now talking to someone, but yet again, they can't speak English very well, which is a big problem. They mumbled on for a bit about, check this, check that etc. Anyway, they went and "spoke to their supervisor" and it turns out PaySystems.com had changed the secure URL for all TTP-Pro customers from secure.paysystems1.com to auth.paysystems.com and didn't think it would matter much not informing anyone.
This is the last straw with Paysystems.com, for me at least.
