View Full Version : More PaySystems.com Problems

First off, I checked our ordering system today, as I always do, to check everything is working. When I checked it today I was in for one hell of a surprise. The following error was on all the PaySystems.com hosted pages.
Product ID not registered within the database. Please check the referring URL and try again. If you are having problems integrating TotalCart into your web site, please contact our support staff at support@paysystems.com.

Okay, I thought to myself, this isn't a problem, I will just submit a support ticket and this will be fixed. 6 hours later, no reply to my support ticket, ordering system is down, people are trying to signup and we have probably lost a few sales by this stage.

So, I decided to call them, I couldn't call their US-Support Number as it doesn't work from the UK, so I called their operator and spoke to someone who could barely speak English to save themselves. Anyway, I finally understood what they were trying to say and they gave me a UK 0800 number. Unfortunately, when calling this number it rang to "Scottish Hydro-Electric", who didn't have a clue who or what PaySystems.com was.

Next, I called back the US-based operator and explained this to them, they then gave me another US number and a phone extension. I dialled this, bingo "Welcome to PaySystems.com, please enter the extension." So I thought, great, I am in, but wait, when I put in the extension the woman provided it said "Sorry, this is an invalid extension. Goodbye!"

Called the operator back again and asked if they could simply transfer me to technical support, "No, we are on different phone systems, there is nothing I can do." So I explained I was about to cancel my account if I didn't get this resolved. Finally! they gave me a support number which actually worked.

Right, we are now talking to someone, but yet again, they can't speak English very well, which is a big problem. They mumbled on for a bit about, check this, check that etc. Anyway, they went and "spoke to their supervisor" and it turns out PaySystems.com had changed the secure URL for all TTP-Pro customers from secure.paysystems1.com to auth.paysystems.com and didn't think it would matter much not informing anyone.

This is the last straw with Paysystems.com, for me at least.

Luckily we got the problems at DV2 corrected, by moving everything to NAC. So far, so good.

Now I just need to find a solution for PaySystems. It's not the fact of getting another account that's the problem; it's having to move everyone over.

Ahh well, I guess it's all part of the job :D

On the other side of things I've just found two debits against my card from Paysystems.com. Havn't had any dealing with them since April last year when I left MCHost ... naw, couldn't be ..... could it?

Unfortunately there have been three 'suspicious' charges reported from customers here... with no abnormal charges showing in the merchant control panel I'm hoping Paysystems will soon get back to me about it and refund these charges asap.

I'd leave it for a while if I were you mate just to see how things go. As things are at the moment I'd rather process cash payments by carrier pigeon than go via Paysystems.

Interesting.... I hope mchost is not thinking of billing current and past clients right before they stop using PaySystems. Something smells to me.....

Any other past or current mchost clients notice inappropriate billing by mchost through PaySystems?

Just logged in to my merchant control panel on paysystems this morning to find this message:

DDOS Attack
Distributed Denial Of Service. PaySystems was subject to this type of attack yesterday morning where its servers were intentionally flooded with invalid requests for information. The normal response from a server under these conditions is to block ALL users from accessing it. This is not a breach of security, and in no way was any data affected.

Paysystems is fine for us the past couple of days.

Make sure your using the correct urls for the mcc and payment screens. (if in doubt check in live chat).

Our payments are all being captured perfectly.

I had to answer a few too many telephone calls from new customers wanting to know why they were billed twice.

I'd look around and see only once where they were charged.

Finally, one calls to say that the second charge was $1.

And PaySystems wonders why we were so upset over them putting their "donation" link in our order forms.

If you have ever edited a recurring transaction [account upgrade etc], then the client will more than likely receive 2 emails confirming their recurring transaction. It looks like they've been billed twice. If you check the transaction numbers, you'll see that they should be the same. Just a double email and not a double charge.

Ok :D this has nothing to do with that brilliant $1.00 donation concept  but it might help someone. ;)
