I haven't tried 000domains... but I've emailed them once and got a response within 30min!

so I give them a thumbs up...

i recently transferred a domain to stargateinc.com ... although there were some problems since my older registrar had trouble responding (eNom)

after I got the domain up... everything was smooth

i just registered two more domains at stargateinc.com at $8 each (nice deal)

another thing that led me to stargate was their livesupport... asked them a bunch of questions... they answered back :)

:)

either registrar a fine choice :D

The end of this month marks a year since I registered my first domain with 000domains.com With the service I've received, I wouldn't consider any other registrar. Answers come invariably within 30 minutes, and the quality of their answers is so thorough and easy to comprehend that the only people who couldn't understand them wouldn't have enough snese to operate a computer.

Even among OpenSRS RSPs they stand out. Do a search on them and you will find nothing but good things said about them.

I have spent the last two weeks getting almost all of my clients switched over to them, mostly from NSI. Today, they helped me liberate the one domain I had with alldns.com (a dreadful registrar, far worse than NSI), one registered just before I found them.

Open SRS is now registering more new .com, .net and .org domains than NSI and 000domains is one of their best RSPs. You can keep the $5.50 difference between them and stargate. For that kind of service, $5.50 is a trifling sum.

I use Stargate and have over 90+ Domains and are very Happy with them. The improve there CP [the new one looks also good but I still ''love'' the old one whre I have all Data's on one Page) and the live Support ist also good. Transfers are also made everytime in the 5 Day's (most 2 Day's).

[QUOTE]I think I'm going to go with stargateinc.com they sound good enough for my 10 domains and are 5.50 less. that $55 a year. [/B]

he's probably comparing the difference between 000domains.com $13.50/ stargateinc.com $8.00/for 2 domains & above

I registered all my domains including new ones with 000domains.com I haven't used stargeinc.com, I think I will try them the next time just to gain some knowledge about their control panel and system.

I would suggest 000domains.com.
The reason I would go with them is because they have a good control panel where you can easily manage all your domains. They also have so you can change all your domains at once. Their support is very good and fast as well. Even though I had another registerar before, they helped me and answered my questions in less that 1 hour (email). I guess one of the more important things is that they are part of OpenSRS which means that there are a few sites you can go to and manage your domains and you can use all their supports.

on the $55 per year thing. That is the amount I would save. :)

For the names I depend upon or really like I would use 000domains.com;
but for the long list of names I am holding for the future, or for those names
that are close to my valued name (such as the .org or .net version) I would
go with stargateinc.

Doesn't it concern anyone that uses 000domains.com that they are not actually a registrar, but just a reseller? I only trust my domains to actual registrars who have to answer to organizations such as ICANN, Verisign and the DOC.

No and that's no longer true. First, as part of the OpenSRS system, registrations and changes made with 000domains are instantaneous. You can see them reflected in Whois right after you make them and can access your account through OpenSRS directly or through any other RSP.

Secondly, 000domains now has its own ICANN accreditation, even though they don't use it, preferring to continue their present arrangement where they are an RSP for OpenSRS.

Finally, their exceptional level of service, combined with the superior OpenSRS Domain Manager, inspire nothing but confidence.

Thanks for confirming. Otherwise I was going to :uzi: stargate since we paid $8 for each domain.

I checked on ICANN's site and was unable to find 000domains.com listed as an accredited registrar. It still concernes me to use anyone other than an active accredited registrar. Just my opinion.

M6: I have used Stargate in the past and have been very pleased with their performance and cost. I have over 200 domains with them. Can't beat 8 bucks. :)

I wish to share my experiences in stargate. Since last week, I have placed 7 orders with them, registering over 20+ domains. Out of these orders: 3 completed without problems; 3 took 2-4 days to resolve, involving several e-mails exchanges; and one is still outstanding.

The remaining problem is with the domain vacinix.com. To my knowledge, it's new & not expired. When I login to my stargate account, it's listed in my control panel, but I cannot do anything with it. I would receive server errors. If I do whois searches on this domain, it would sometimes show up as available and sometimes show up as registered. If it shows up as registered, it displays that the domain was registered through stargate, but it has no name server info.

Also, stargate has a whois function to look up domains registered through them. When I do a whois, the domain does not even show up.

So, do be careful when using stargate. IMHO, their tech staff are not that bright when it comes to reading client's e-mail messages and solving problems. Phew, glad to get this off my chest. Now, back to contacting them.

you can trust 000domains. In order to be an opensrs reseller they have to pay a yearly license fee so they know what they're doing and how to run a business.

I have only high regards for 000domains. I just believe the trust and respect they have earned have nothing to do with the license fee they pay. I know of another OpenSRS RSP that one of my clients has used that I don't hold quite so high in esteem. They are okay (though priced as expensive as NSI) and any problems can ultimately be resolved through Open SRS (mostly by moving to 000domains).

Let's give credit where credit is due. It's not the license fee they pay that makes 000domains trustworthy, it's their excellent attitude as reflected in the service they render, in conjunction with being part of the OpenSRS system.

This is not true.
We are an OpenSRS reseller and do not pay anything.

To become a reseller you have to buy 25 domain years in advance ($250). There are no further obligations to pay anything else and the $250 can be exchanged for your first 25 domain registrations.

With Stargateinc we just paid $3575 to buy 550 domain years in advance (in order to get a lower price).

If anything the financial commitment with Stargateinc is greater.
