It's a long story, so I'll just get to the point. On April 1st (April Fools Day) my web site which is hosted by www.digitalsea.net was down/unavailable for a period of 5 days. I tried several attempts to get in touch with DS by email and by phone ... finally got an answer after 5 days.
They moved my site to another server and ran into some problems (no advance notice, thanks alot). In the meantime, I made up my mind to move to a different hosting company. I sent DigitalSea a certified letter canceling my account on April 13th. Just checked my credit card, and guess what they charged me on May 3rd for another month. Now I have to go through the agravation of disputing the charge.
Buyer beware: even if a company's hosting plan looks good, make sure you check around first and find one with a good reputation.
