I am looking at a raq from Rackshack. I was wondering if anyone knows if you can customize the control panel. I develop web apps, and it would be handy if I could use the cobalt raq panel as the panel for some of my apps. In other words just either change the them, or maybe add some links etc... Thanx in advance

I have not heard of anyone changing a Raq control panel but I guess its possible. You might want to contact RaqShack and see what they say

Only change the Cobalt control panel if you know what you're doing. If you mess up, RackShack will likely charge to restore your RaQ. Furthermore, I wouldn't even bother asking RackShack about how to customize the control panel -- their tech support doesn't go beyond "what is the path to perl". For the price though, nobody truly beats them. :)

Sure you can customize the control panel, it is managed via templates that you can edit, they are located at:

/usr/admserv/templates/

the images for the control panel are located at:

/usr/admserv/html/.cobalt/images/

there are a lot of images! you'll have a long,long time if you want to customize all of them.

Be careful, though, because if you mess up with the control panel you loose your waranty, you are not supossed to play with the system files.
