Hi,

I've been exploring Microsoft Certification as a Solution Developer (MCSD). Now, I understand VB though I am no guru. The same holds true with C++.

I would like to know what books people who already have a MCSD have read... what site's were helpful.

As this certification will probably be worth more than my computer programming degree at the community college, I would like to expand my skills $$$ :)

Any thoughts on the MCSD and books that were helpful?

Thanks,

Richard

www.wrox.com

I find their authors and books helpful than the others. Based on personal experiences, I would get books from www.wrox.com. You can find books published by them everywhere. I don't find sites helpful at all but if you want to start SQL programming or move over the JAVA, take a look at www.webmonkey.com and start there. If you plan to purchase books, please buy them at your local bookstore.... Keep them in business (J/K)!!

Books I have from them:

Introduction to MS Visual C++ 6.0 Standard
by Ivor Horton
Published by Wrox

Beginnin Visual C++ 5/6
by Ivor Horton

Please buy them at your local business...

But of course! That way I get to flip through the pages while I'm there :)

Thanks, WROX books are usually good, so I think I'll look into them further.

O'Rielly has been suggested as well.

Anyways, thanks

Richard
