Hey all,

Just another question ;)
heh... but ok. I have been up for some time, and now am expanding majorly :D (maybe a bit too fast? myeah oh well :stickout: )

What do you people think of this:

$4.40 a month for a whopping 5gb multi-homed nac bandwidth with 500mb space
With this comes cPanel, unlimited email etc., sub-domains, ftp, mysql, addon + parked domains, and much much more - also going to get Fantastico (looking at good cPanel themes first though)

Well what do you think?
Is it good? Bad? Cheap? Expensive?
If I do it, I'd choose DedicatedNOW for the servers, as well as pay $75 a month for a person to admin the box, I've calculated the prices and all and have comes up with a very promising price. :D

In total, heh, I can get $225.10 a month (yes, 10 cents, lol) pure profit if I had 100 clients - If I ever got that many on that package, I'd up support and prolly order another person to admin the box and two other support staff - also possibly an 0800 line, but definately some other goodies such as ModernBill and more - may even have my own made.

But seriously - I've calculated it well and I can see that I wont be losing money if I get more than 50 clients on that package, and I can do very good if I get 100 clients with that package.
So, I'll never be in the red

I've calculated it with the P4 from DedicatedNow... WITH the setup fee and lower monthly fee. I'd also upgrade RAM, add another HDD and prolly more stuff - but all one time fees so less monthly fees ;)

... but back on topic
What do you people think??

With cheap prices come cheap customers... :D No offense, I am one too, but you have to remember the cheaper you go, the more customers you will get and the more customers you get the more they will think they own you and your business, or some of them do.

Put it more at $5.95 or something, or run that price as a special for a limited time, then jack it up 50%, and usually the best way to put it, is with a 95, like $4.95 makes it seem cheaper, or to me it does.

Also, don't expect too much at first. Get a very small reseller account, maybe cut back on a few cigarettes a day to pay for the reseller account or something, and then expand as you grow.

And when you get the money, go for a wicked design, some or like 60% or of your customers could judge your company by the design. Bad Design=Customers thinking you don't make allot of money, meaning crappy company. Good Design=Customers thinking you make a moderate to good amount of money, meaning good company, even if it brakes the bank, get a good design.

You will spend haunting hours working on your company, so always have a backup plan, backup server place, backup server admin, backup staff etc. :D

Last but certainly not least, don't expect a profit at ALL. Always put most or all of your profits from the company, back into the company. Have a % go to Advertising, have another % go to billing, staff etc.

That should do it!

One last hint, the customer is ALWAYS right; please them first before anything and anyone else. Because even the littlest/cheapest customer, can make the biggest difference.

EDIT: Do you already have the company going, if so I am sorry, I didn't look at your WWW to see if you did or not .

Get ready to wear that PC calculator's buttons OFF! Because you need to calculate in you sleep, and always triple check your work; don't be afraid to ask here either if you have it right or what they think etc.

100 customers is a lot of support... and you would be getting $225 a month out of it ? ... that means you would need about 500 customers to earn a wage...

This is ok if hosting isnt your income maker, but not really a sound financial model if you ask me.
